Tamesis members enjoy having fun on and off the water. Our social programme includes:
a Commodore's cocktail party
a Prizegiving dinner at which club sailing trophies are presented to the winning helmsmen and crews (See PRIZEWINNERS page)
a midsummer ball
class dinners
quiz nights
a ladies' dinner
an RNLI day and plant sale
a Wednesday evening bridge group
supper on Thursday evenings in the summer after sailing and usually on the first and third Thursdays of the month during the winter, with talks on sailing
a Christmas lunch
a Cadets' Christmas party
and the highly popular Vice Commodore's dinner at which Uffa's Spoon (a much prized trophy presented by Uffa Fox) and the Offshore Group's Seacock Trophy are awarded amid great hilarity for the biggest sailing gaffes of the year.
New members are welcome at all these events. (Please see the COMING EVENTS page for details).
To arrange a social event or to book the club for a private function please contact the Rear Commodore House (Please see OFFICERS page for phone number or consult bookings list in clubhouse).
