Tamesis Club

Charles McNally

Charles McNally was a member of Tamesis for many years

Sadly he died in hospital on Saturday 5th May.  He had fallen and broken his hip earlier in the day.  Our sincere condolences go to his wife Rosemary and his  four children who he introduced to sailing at Tamesis.

Charles had moved to Bosham, where he sailed a Wayfarer, an Albacore, and a Yachting World Day Boat in CBD  races.  In his early days at Tamesis he sailed in many inter-club team races throughout the home counties, then sailed his classic Merlin Jabberwocky very successfully.  He also kept a Sonata on the south coast for several years.
The funeral will be held on Monday 21 May at St Thomas’s Church, Emsworth, PO10 7QP at 11.00.
Donations can be given to either St Wilfred’s Hospice or the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation.
Cheques can be sent to  Reynolds Funeral Service, 43 Spitalfield Lane, Chichester, PO19 6SG.
