Despite checking various weather apps repeatedly for 48hours before the event, the reality of a solid F5 Southerly against the tide and downpours in Chichester harbour came true. Joe & Sean convinced themselves the right decision was to leave the families playing in the rain on the beach and get out there and enjoy!
Marred only by a spinnaker gremlin in the first few minutes of the downwind(!) start putting them out of any contention, a full tour of the harbour buoys ensued delivering long behind-the-hoop spinnaker runs and punchy beats. Well worth it and a great confidence builder.
The event was won by a local HISC RS800 sailed by Tom Morris & Guy Fillmore.
