Our summer racing season certainly went out with a storm. Jack’s Trip (our offshore rally) was limited to a fun meal at Itchenor Sailing Club – see report below. The racing was limited, but the students had a lot of fun sailing in the afternoon, all coming ashore with huge grins.

Saturday 29th – National 18′ Inland Championships. For Notice of Race, please see the event page on the website. Thanks to Alan Green for the following:
Sunday 30th – Laser Open meeting. We have at least a couple of visitors from other clubs – let’s make them feel welcome with a great turnout. Boats are available for loan – please contact Class Captain Chris Taggart on chrismtaggart@gmail.com,or let him know if you can’t make it and happy to lend your boat to someone so they can race. Superb lunch + tea and cakes. Notice of Race on the event page on the website. £10 for the day.

Saturday 6th October – Porteous Cup – Vintage Merlin open meeting
Sunday 7th October – Sondown Cup – merlin open meeting, and Silver Tiller event. The Silver Tiller is the prestigious travellers trophy run by the merlin class association. We are delighted to be including it in our open this year.
