Tamesis members will learn with great sadness of the death of Mike Goldsmith, a member of the Laser fleet for many years, in his Care Home in Saffron Walden. He will be remembered for his love of dogs, the most recent of which, Nell, had been a shepherd dog, which, like its predecessor, Joe occupied a prime position under the bar, near the main door into the club.
Mike sailed Merlins for many years, then changed to a Laser, always keeping up with the latest technology. He was a regular competitor in has last boat ‘Road of Bones’ now sailed by Kaan Yargici.
