Tammy Matters

Dear all

The following piece is from Chris Pollard who is still having technical problems.

Sunday’s sailing was conducted in a blast.  OOD Jon Redding cancelled the 10.30 Handicap as the wind was ferocious.  It appeared to moderate slightly and four Lasers braved the elements, only to be capsized en masse when the wind resumed normal service.  Racing was abandoned.  There was, however, a good attendance in the Clubhouse for lunch.

Kaan Yargici has made one or two changes to the website and has, importantly, entered all the events, both sailing and social, in the ‘EVENTS’ calendar.  This appears at the top of Tammy Matters.  This is a change to the previous format – comments would be appreciated.

The first April event is the Club Supper and Talk on 4th April closely followed the Officer of the Day Training on 6th April.  Some more detail of both below.

Stewart Colley has been cataloguing the vast amount of property found abandoned all round the Club premises.  If you think you have lost something or are interested in obtaining some of the items, have a look at his comprehensive list which is accessible through the post in the home page.

The printed sailing and social events programme for April 2019 to March 2020 is now available and copies can be collected from the club on Sunday.  Many thanks to Tom McLaughlin for design and setting.

See you soon
