In the afternoon there was just enough wind for everyone to get lots of helming practice with little risk of an accidental capsize .
However some students took the chance to do their recovery drill and as usual by the end of the day the youngsters were pleading to be allowed to capsize.
Please note Oppies are hard to capsize but come up like a bathtub.
Seriously they are also prone to invert so I suggest they aren’t deliberately capsized unless temporary masthead buoyancy can be provided .
