Commodore Chris is on the high seas for a couple of weeks, so has asked me to take over Tammy Matters in his absence.
We’ve had a busy weekend – the annual Cadet Bake Off on Saturday produced a fabulous array of beautifully baked and decorated cakes – see the pictures in the news.
The Trowlock Trophy Handicap Pursuit race took place on Sunday with the weather being a complete contrast to the day before. See what happened in the news item.
This coming Thursday 7th November will be the first of the winter Thursday evening suppers. No talk this month – just come and enjoy an evening out at the club in good company. Please book with Nicky Johnson on nickyjohnsontamesis@gmail.com.
Sunday 10th November – normal club racing – 1030 handicap race followed class racing at the normal times.
The Bridge Group are holding their Bridge Drive in aid of Help for Heroes. There will be a raffle for which anyone can buy tickets. All prize contributions gratefully received. This takes place from 3pm following the racing.

Eric Finlayson wants to start doing more Patrol Boat Training – essential for those who are soon to be doing a duty and not done one before, or a really good refresher for those who need one.
