Commodore Chris has just returned from holiday, and will take over next week.

Racing on Sunday was cancelled due to the strong stream and non existent wind.  It did come up for about five minutes around midday, but gave up very quickly. See the photo in news.

Saturday 23rd November – Annual Dinner and Prize Giving.  Still time to sign up for this event with a gourmet meal and lots of non competitive awards.  Please email Nicky Johnson on nickyjohnsontamesis@gmail.com.

Great menu from outside chef as follows

Starter:

H.Formans Smoked Salmon, London Sourdough, Celeriac and Lemon Remoulade, Land Cress” 

Main Course:

“Corn Fed Chicken supreme, Chanterelle and Madeira veloute, Kale, Sautéed potato, Mustard Frills, Chive Oil” 

Dessert:

“Honey Poached Figs, Whipped Ricotta, Organic Granola, Blackberry Syrup

There will be a vegetarian option – which MUST be requested in writing please to avoid disappointment

‘Childrens’ menu for under 18 will be

Lasagne followed by ice creams/sauces – again very important we have numbers for this – £10 per head.

Thursday 5th December – club supper and talk – details to follow

Sunday 15th December – Christmas Pudding races and Christmas Lunch.  Sign up sheet will be available from Sunday 24th.  Make sure you get your name down to avoid disappointment.

A quick postscript on returning.

Thank you Carolyne for holding the fort whilst I was away.
