Firstly, a big shout out to local friend of Tamesis Club, Ray Elmitt, who took a fantastic drone video of the Braganza Bowl in action on 15 September 2019. You can now find the video on the website homepage under the results section. Thank you Ray.

Last Week    26th November to 2nd December

Sunday 1st December – Winter Series 6 took place following a Canoe Club event which constrained us to have our first start at 11:30.  There was a brisk North-easterly wind and a fair amount of stream and OOD Jon Redding set a course with the Canbury Mark well towards Kingston Bridge and Lensbury Mark opposite the creek.  8 Merlins,  6 Lasers and one N18 took part.  See News

This Week  3rd to 9th December

Thursday 5th December – The Supper and Talk will provide an opportunity to get to see how the Club’s various IT functions work.  Kaan will head up the presentation in which explanations of the various software packages we use will be presented by Club members and we hope that we can demystify the operation of the Website and Dutyman for Members.  It will be really useful for Members to see how the Club is developing the use of such tools.  There is a news item on the Website which gives a full picture of what will be covered.

Sign up in the Clubhouse or email Nicky on nickyjohnsontamesis@gmail.com.  This is important to allow us to gauge numbers for supper.

Sunday 8th December – The 10:30 Handicap race followed by the Winter Series 7 races will take place.

Next Week.  10th to 16th December

Sunday 15th December. The 10:30 Handicap race followed by the Winter Series 8 races will take place.  The Series events will also constitute the annual Christmas Pudding races.

The Club Christmas Lunch will be held.  Sign up for this very popular event as soon as possible as the numbers are limited to about 100.  A poster is on the website and a list will be available in the Club or you can email Nicky on  nickyjohnsontamesis@gmail.com. Be quick about it though as it is nearly fully subscribed.

Further Ahead
