Sailors were greeted by sunshine and a brisk southwesterly. All participants were rewarded by either a Christmas Pudding or choccies. Thanks to Rupert Fletcher, Lindsey Martin, Graeme and Peter Versey for organising the racing.
Over 100 sat down to a sumptuous Christmas lunch which was graced by a visit from Father Christmas and helper. Commodore Chris led the Christmas carols finishing with the traditional rousing rendition of The Twelve Days of Christmas.
Chris thanked the organisers, helpers, staff, chef Ollie and sous chefs and gave flowers to Nicky Johnson who had masterminded the day.
The rising water outside added some further excitement to the day.
