Thursday Evening Talk 5.3.20

Nicholas Bayne gave a most fascinating and authoritative talk on the exploration of the North West Passage in the 19th century by John and James Ross and later by John Franklin.  He highlighted the beneficial effects that the ability and inclination of the Rosses to communicate with the native Inuit people had for the survival of their expedition crews.  It was well attended and a fine fish pie was enjoyed by about 48 members and guests.
