Halloween Junior Bake Off 31st October

The annual junior cake competition was held last Saturday.  The Halloween theme produced some stunning designs and great tasting cakes.

The overall winner for creativity and taste was ‘Soup of the Day’ baked and decorated by Charlotte Williams for her brother cadet sailor Alfie Williams.

The award for artistic merit/design was given to Leela Siebert-Patel for ‘Day of the Dead’

 

and ‘The Haunted Clubhouse’ which featured Phil’s Bar was awarded to  Maisie Key.

The category for the most creepy, clever design was won by Aaron Siebert-Patel with ‘RIP 2020’.

Tom Harris won the most innovative design award with ‘The Mummy’s Curse’.

 

Best taste category went to Lyra Wade for her Zombie Brownies.
All entrants received a prize with a baking theme.

The two judges – Anne Bayne and Nicky Johnson – had a very hard job deciding the overall winner but the best job possible in tasting all of them!

Well done to everyone for some immense creations.  The standard was very high and has set another very high bar for next year.
