Junior Sailing end of term

Report by Griff Tanner

13 juniors braved the flat calm conditions, and were able to get on the water for a longer session than expected. Three different types of home made cookie were there to be sampled after the driftathon. Thanks to Ken for manning the rescue boat, and to all the bakers!

That concludes an excellent Autumn term of Saturday afternoons for junior sailing, we will pick it up again from Easter. Juniors are reminded that they are welcome to come along and try club racing Sunday mornings all year round – pick a nice morning, come along, and grab a boat. We’re particularly pleased to have so many faces who are new to the club, or sailing in general. Griff is happy to field any questions that may occur to you over the winter, and if you would like to be added to the WhatsApp group, then please leave a message via the club’s main website.

Next week we have the club Topper open – with 10 home juniors planning to race – there is now a waiting list for the club boats.
