Welcome to the Tamesis RYA Training Page!
Come and try sailing at our beautiful family-oriented clubhouse in its unique River Thames setting. Since 2015 we have trained students from age 8 to adult for more than 70 Sailing certificates, 15 Powerboat certificates and almost 100 First Aid certificates. We have a corps of around a dozen Instructors and Assistants with a wealth of experience in all kinds of craft, ready to help you achieve RYA qualifications – and have fun in the process 🙂
Training is provided for members, and non-members have a great discount offer on membership when they sign up for training. Naturally we hope students will stay on and keep sailing with us – which many do. We sail all the year round. We are proud that a number of Olympic and Championship sailors learned their basic skills at Tamesis. Competent dinghy sailors are also always welcome in offshore sailing – we are happy to advise on how to progress and members have access to offshore sailing through our link with the BBC Yacht Club. The club has its own ample car parking and is near to bus and rail transport.
We are an RYA “OnBoard” club entitling us to offer games period sailing to local schools.
