Tamesis Club

Welfare, Safety and Security

Tamesis Club is very serious about the welfare, safety and security of all its members, and we have many policies and rules in place to ensure that members enjoy the clubhouse and river as much as possible but with safety in mind at all times.

The Tamesis Club Welfare Officer is Jackie Harris (020 8255 7526).

Child Protection Policy

The club has a Child Protection Policy in place. See link below.

Patrol Boat Panel

Club racing is run under the surveillance of at least one of our powered patrol boats.  Members using a patrol boat are encouraged to take part in the club’s patrol boat training programme.  This is expected to be expanded to include the RYA Powerboat 2 qualification in the near future.

Club Rules

Our club rules are there to ensure that members behave in an appropriate manner, especially to other members, and that the club is a safe place for members to be at all times. A club rule example is that all children under 8 years of age must wear a buoyancy aid when visiting the club.
