Tamesis Supper and Talk 4th December 2025

Our speaker will be Stephen Fielding of Habitats & Heritage who manages their heritage programme. He is captivated by the wealth of history contained within London’s buildings and infrastructure with particular interest in the history of what lies below the surface. This intrigue has led him to undertake substantial research into London’s water supply with focus on efforts to maintain it during the Second World War. Stephen is also a Trustee of the Kempton Great Engines Trust at Kempton Steam Museum.

Come and find out about A Second World War air raid shelter in Mortlake plus the mausolea of Sir Joseph Bazalgette and the Earl of Kilmorey. You may remember he did the talk on ‘The Great Stink and Joseph Bazalgette’s solution’.
