Dinner and Presentation of the Uffa Spoon. The Uffa Spoon was presented to the club by Uffa Fox, the renowned designer of many dinghy and racing classes including the Firefly, Albacore, Flying Fifteen and many others.
The Dinner takes place in February every year, and is hosted by the Vice Commodore.
Though dress may be formal, the evening is a fun event, with many humourous tales of where things went wrong. The person or persons who have committed the silliest or greatest gaff in the last year is presented with the Uffa Spoon. The presenter is always the previous recipient.
There is a three course gourmet dinner costing £25 per head.
