Easter Egg Fun and Games 2024 and Capture the Paddle

The stream was yet again too strong to run the programmed Pursuit Race, so the Juniors got together and invented the game 'Capture the Paddle' to play up on the recreation ground. This involved two paddles and teams of approximately 5 each. There was a lot of walking, tagging, and eventually the two paddles ended up the same end. It was impressive to see the age range of the participants. You only needed to be able to walk and tag the opposition.

Team Lyra won but the Easter Eggs were shared out equally with Team Josie.

Thanks go to Lyra and Josie for inventing the game and the rules. It was a great success. Maybe setting up a precedent for the future?

Everyone went back to the clubhouse afterwards for presentation of the Eggs, sandwiches and a drink. There was much talk of how the paddle got from one end to the other and
