Mayor of Richmond Visits Tamesis Junior Sailors

The Mayor of the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames visited the Clubon Saturday 11th May to see what we do and to launch two race-ready Toppers. The two toppers have been part funded by SporTedd to whom we are most grateful.
The Juniors paraded up and down in front of the clubhouse while the Mayor sipped tea. Marcus was told that the race-ready boat he was sailing was "very fast" compared with the older Toppers.
The Mayor's visit formed part of the Discover Sailing Open Day. She declined a trip in one of our sailing dinghies due to inappropriate dress!
