Busy Junior Shakedown Session Saturday 18th April

Junior Sailing - Juniors and parents met for a well-attended 'shakedown' session, welcoming 22 children and families on Saturday that was presented by Joe McLaughlin and the team.

The afternoon included lawn games, rigging session, safe landing/recovery practice and a fun relay race with the challenge of retrieving yellow ducks from the water, surprisingly good skills were on show after the winter. The afternoon was finished off with pizza, ice creams, and prizes which launched the newly branded Tamesis 'Seals' t-shirts which were a big hit. A great start to the season!

Ten parents also took the opportunity to be trained up for bar opening. Training by Nicky Chavasse. So the Junior sessions this season should have refreshments on hand.
