Queen Adelaide Cup and Tamesis Anchor, Saturday 8 June 2024

Published 06:00 on 11 Jun 2024
On Saturday the National 18s raced for the Adelaide Cup and the Tamesis Anchor. Conditions were good and there were some different line-ups in the boats. With all races to count, a lot rested on the last race. Congratulations to Peter Impey and Robert Blakeborough in Zephyr who managed to claim water round the Club mark on the final lap, to lead by the length of the boat's name on the hull at the line. They took both the Tamesis Anchor and the Adelaide Cup. Second in the both the Cup and the Anchor were Mike and Peter Adams in Snow Goose.
Thanks to Race Officer Matt Dalton and box/ patrol team Sally Warwick-Haller, Tim Barr and Brian Harper-Lewis for running the event.
