Thanks to Chris Wade for the following words and photos (more on the Tamesis Facebook page)
Photos from yesterday's Thursday evening sail the weather looked like it might be taking a turn for the worse with a heavy shower just before boating, but the prayers to the River Gods must have been heard as it was lovely conditions and perfect for the two novice Laser sailors!

David & Barbara and Chris & William did a fine job flying the flag for the Merlins whilst others are off gallivanting for the week
The southwesterly did the usual up and down flukey thing. There was enough for everyone to get round. The course was a figure of eight in front of the club, starting upstream.
The two National 18s Genieveve sailed by Charles Fox and Robert Blakebrough and Optimus Prime sailed by Matt PJ and Alexey together with Merlin Chimp sailed by David Baker and Barbara Adams did five rounds, the rest of the fleet doing four. Matt and Alexy took line honours, but were they far enough ahead to win on handicap?
Congratulations to Lyra and Arun for finishing in tricky conditions for both this was their first race in a Laser.
Thanks to OOD Tim Medcalf and Kris in the box, and Mal Warner and Chris Wade in the Patrol Boat.
Chef Jean Michel cooked up a storm again and several of us sat down to Roasted Salmon fillet with roasted carrot and tenderstem broccoli
Jersey royals with horseradish mayo and watercress salad followed by strawberries and cream. Leo and Maya assisted and served us drinks from the bar.
