Thirteen visiting fireflies from ten different clubs and one home boat turned out to enjoy a crisp northerly with plenty of sunshine. The car park was packed with boats being rigged and bacon butties being consumed.
Race Officer David Baker sent the fleet downstream to the end of Trowlock Island and as far as just below Stevens Ait being the leeward mark.
Class Champion Will Panks and Chloe Harding in a borrowed Uni boat Drunken Sailor F4379 left the others standing finishing all three races in first place, thus winning the Elizabeth Cup.
Immediately after lunch four junior crews took to the water to do a one lap sprint race for the Junior Cup. Once again conditions were brisk!
Winners of the Junior Cup: Sophia Hillary & Harvey Hillary, in Princess Pearl (F909).
Thanks to OOD David Baker assisted in the box by Jim Green with Peter Bide and Barbara Adams in the Patrol Boat, Cathy Dalton and Carolyne Vines on entries.
