Happy Christmas 2023 Festivities Sunday 10th December

Several members came down for the Christmas Festivites. This year it was a canape lunch provided by our Chef Jean Michel. The proceedings started with a glass of bubbly. The food was sumptuous and much enjoyed by all. Father Christmas paid a visit and gave presents to the children. Chris Pollard led the carol singing from words shown on the tv - a first.

Many thanks to all who were involved in the organisation from the purchase of the magnificent Christmas tree, putting up the decorations and prepping the club house. Not forgetting of course Jean Michel himself and all our lovely staff who helped him, and brought the trays of food round.

Commodore Marcus Chavasse was very pleased to award two trophies to individuals who had not been able to come to the recent prize giving. Matthew Peregrine Jones had won the GW Smith Trophy for the second half of the Thursday Evening races - July and August. Griff Tanner was presented with the Commodore's Prize for his hard work, enthusiasm and inspiration running the Junior Sailing on Saturdays for the last couple of years.
