Tammy Topper Team travels to Papercourt SC for Topper open meeting on Saturday 18th October 2025

Four intrepid Juniors from the Tammy Topper Team travelled to nearby Papercourt SC for the next event on the London & Southeast race circuit.

The M25 / A3 junction closure also made for some exciting country lane driving with trailer on tow and grumpy white vans stacking up in the opposite direction.

It was a very well attended event with 59 sailors competing in the 5.3, 4.2 and regatta fleets. The wind was light and shifted from the Northeast to the East throughout the day. The course took some memorising looping around 6 marks spread around the lake.

Our team of Arthur P-J, Henry J, Flora and Toby S-H completed two races before lunch, then headed back out for two more in the afternoon, followed by well-earned cakes and cookies. All the Tammy sailors did brilliantly, and enjoyed a great day's sailing. Toby took 3rd place in the 5.3 fleet in the first race (his first ever open race), and Arthur finished 7th overall in the 4.2s. A great day out for all and many thanks to Matt P-J for organising. We're looking forward to the next one!
